Adam Brody’s Unexpected Role in Good Cop/Bad Cop
Meester and Cook headline a standout cast in the new crime-comedy, portraying reluctant sibling detectives in a small-town police force.
Although set in the Pacific Northwest, the series was filmed in the scenic town of Canungra, just 40 minutes from Australia’s Gold Coast.
Meester spent nearly four months there with Brody and their family during production, and it wasn’t long before a few special cameos found their way into the show.

“[Adam] was like, ‘Give me a quirky character to jump in and play,’” Meester shared.
“Throughout the series, he read a few scripts, helped me practice my lines, and said, ‘I think I could do this one.’ So we made it happen—it was fun and lighthearted,” she smiled.
While the episode has yet to air, fans got a sneak peek of his cameo in Stan’s exclusive preview here:
“He’s my best friend and my favorite actor,” Meester said. “Honestly, I just love working with him on anything.”
Meester first gained fame in the 2000s as Blair Waldorf on the hit series Gossip Girl, while Brody became a fan favorite as the lovable and geeky Seth Cohen in The O.C.
If Meester and Brody ever headlined a rom-com, it would be a dream come true for millennials.
So, could it happen?
“You know, despite all the projects we’ve done together, we’ve never played love interests,” Meester revealed.
“I think we’ve worked on six or seven things, but it’s always some quirky dynamic where we’re at odds in some way.
“But honestly, that makes it kind of fun,” she added with a smile.
