After years of fan speculation, the Cobra Kai stars officially confirmed their relationship—and engagement—in a big reveal.

On Thursday, the longtime co-stars took to Instagram to share their engagement news through a joint post. The announcement featured photos of them walking through a hotel lobby, dressed elegantly for the Cobra Kai series-finale event.

“We’re thrilled to finally share that we’re engaged. This marks a meaningful milestone in our lives, closing one chapter and celebrating the start of another,” Buchanan captioned the post. “While we cherish our private moments, we’re grateful for the love and support and excited to share this glimpse into our world.”

The announcement came just a day after they attended Netflix’s Cobra Kai event together on Wednesday. The show is set to release the final part of its sixth and final season on Thursday. While posing on the red carpet, Mouser wrapped her arm around Buchanan’s shoulder as they both raised their hands, showing off matching silver rings.

Mouser, 28, stunned in a shimmering brown mini-dress paired with silver necklaces and bracelets. Meanwhile, Buchanan, 26, looked sharp in a navy blue suit with a grey tie, accessorized with a silver watch and yellow sunglasses.

Years of Speculation Ends with a Big Reveal

In an interview with People at the event, He’s All That star Tanner Buchanan described Mouser as “a hundred percent” his ride-or-die confidant. However, he also emphasized his strong bond with the entire Cobra Kai cast, saying he has close friendships with “literally everybody.”

“There’s not a single person we don’t hang out with and have fun with. We always say we’ll be in each other’s lives forever—I don’t know how else to explain it,” Buchanan shared.

Their engagement comes after years of fan speculation about their relationship. Though they frequently shared posts about each other on social media, they had never confirmed they were a couple—until now.

In August 2021, Mouser posted several photos on Instagram of herself and Buchanan at an event for He’s All That.

“GO WATCH MY BEST FRIEND ABSOLUTELY KILL IT IN !!! Super proud bestie over here,” she wrote. “Also—love you, for putting up with my antics. Though, to be fair, you usually just match them with your own, so thanks for that too.”

In Cobra Kai, Mouser portrays Sam, a young karate prodigy and the daughter of Daniel LaRusso, played by Ralph Macchio in the original Karate Kid films. Buchanan, on the other hand, plays Robby, the son of Daniel’s longtime rival, Johnny Lawrence. In the show’s early seasons, their characters shared a brief romance, which Buchanan has previously spoken about.
