Taylor Swift Coming To Australia For Her Eras Tour

Swift has formally announced her upcoming tour. And while many admirers were preparing for the emotional roller coaster that would be Meet Me and FolkLoverMore fest, the wordsmith has chosen a much more succinct name for her four-album tour: The Eras Tour.

Last year, the 32-year-old announced on Instagram that she was embarking on a tour.

“I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!),” she wrote.
The tour will begin in stadiums across the United States, with international dates to be announced as soon as possible!

At least for the US segment of the tour, Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, beabadoobee, Gracie Abrams, GAYLE, and OWENN will join the pop star.

Taylor’s Eras tour will be her first in five years, following her Reputation concert in 2018. The Getaway Car singer was accompanied by Charli XCX, Camila Cabello, and others for the female artist’s highest-grossing tour of that year.

Taylor was supposed to tour again in 2020, but COVID-19 thwarted her plans.

In 2021, she stated, “This unprecedented pandemic has altered everyone’s plans, and no one knows what the touring landscape will look like in the near future.”

Since 2018, Taylor has significantly expanded her discography by releasing four new albums and two reissues.

New albums include Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and, most recently, Midnights, while re-releases include Taylor’s versions of the older albums Fearless and Red.

The re-releases also featured a number of never-before-heard ‘From The Vault’ tracks, meaning that the 32-year-old has released a total of 90 new songs, excluding collaborations with HAIM, Big Red Machine, etc.

The Eras tour begins on March 18 in Glendale, Arizona, and concludes on August 5 at SoFi in Los Angeles. The singer of Anti-Hero will perform in a variety of cities, including Las Vegas, Arlington, Tampa, Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, and Seattle.

That’s fantastic, America! However, what about Australia?

Despite the fact that the dates have not yet been confirmed, a number of reliable sources have indicated that the Speak Now star will return to Australia this summer.

In April 2023, admirers received additional evidence that the performer will visit Australia.

In the summer? It could occur sooner than anticipated!

Taylor Swift has, according to the Shameless podcast, discreetly booked the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) as part of her Australian tour. An employee leaked the news to the podcast, who posted a selfie with the caption: “Hush hush but I work for the MCG and dates have been booked in for Taylor…”

DeuxMoi also tweeted about Taylor’s possible Aussie dates, writing: “Dates have been booked for Taylor at the MCG in Melbourne, Aus. Therefore, she will certainly visit Australia!”

As always, these rumors must be taken with a grain of salt. However, it appears that an announcement is imminent.

Which cities in Australia will Taylor Swift visit?
The most recent information regarding Taylor’s upcoming Australian tour is not fantastic.

According to “sources” quoted by the Courier Mail, Taylor will only perform in Sydney and Melbourne.

The sources disclosed that the pop star would forego Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide due to “time constraints and travel costs.”

But we hope this is not true!

Taylor did not release new music prior to her Eras Tour.
Yes! Taylor released four new songs on March 17, prior to the start of her tour.

Tay announced the release of four new singles via Instagram, namely Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version), Safe & Sound (Taylor’s Version), If This Was a Movie (Taylor’s Version), and All Of the Girls You’ve Loved Before.
