How Miranda Kerr And Orlando Bloom Raise Their Child Flynn Together

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom were married for three years, from 2010 to 2013. They had their son Flynn in January 2011. Instead, the friendly ex-couples will sometimes share a photo of Flynn where his face isn’t visible or pay respect to him in other subtle ways. Miranda recently celebrated her son’s 12th birthday by posting a picture of a piece of art he made to Instagram.

Together with Miranda’s husband, Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, and Orlando’s partner, Katy Perry, they raise Flynn as a close-knit team.

Hart and Evan, Miranda’s boys, were born in 2018 and 2019, and in 2020, Katy gave birth to her first child, Daisy Dove.

Miranda told Katy in an interview on her Instagram page last year, “My kids are my number one love, and being a mum is just the best thing in the world.”

“It’s the best job,” Katy said. It’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I’ve never felt anything like I did when I had my daughter. That was like all the love I’d ever been looking for rolled into one.

From the beginning, Orlando and I really made a promise to put Flynn’s needs first in everything we do,” Miranda said in a May 2023 podcast called Something To Talk About.

“So that’s how he grew up: with two loving parents who want the best for him.”

“And then, when Evan and Katy [Perry, Bloom’s fiancee] came into the picture, it was clear that Flynn got even more love,” she said. And he understands that.”

“He can tell by how we talk to each other and by all the special times we spend together, like when we celebrate important events or go on vacations. And I think he feels safe knowing that we will always put his needs first and that we all get along so well on our own. It is pretty unique. I’m very happy.”

Miranda also talked about her friendship with Katy Perry and how the two of them try to create a healthy family dynamic.

“We’re always kind of working together as that female force to try and do the best thing for our families,” she said.

“She’s such a great mother…I’m very lucky to have that kind of friendship with her. She is really like a sister to me, and we’ve had a connection since the beginning.

Miranda also talked about her friendship with Katy on The Drew Barrymore Show in 2020, saying that she was “so grateful” that Orlando had found her.

“I love Katy, and I’m so glad that Orlando has found someone who makes his heart so happy,” she told Drew. “At the end of the day, all that matters is that Flynn has a happy father and a happy mother.”

“I’m just so happy that Orlando and Katy found each other, and I’m so happy that I found my amazing husband and that we all really respect each other.”

She also said that they try to celebrate as many big events, like birthdays, with each other as possible.

“When we have to be together for special occasions, we figure out what’s best for the whole family,” she said.

“We really do always think about what is best for Flynn, and I think that’s the most important thing.”
