Nazi symbols on synagogue : A synagogue in Sydney’s south has been vandalized with Nazi symbols.
NSW Police have confirmed that the synagogue, located on Railway Parade in Allawah, was defaced earlier today between 3:55 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
The building was spray-painted with over a dozen Nazi symbols and several antisemitic slurs.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated that those responsible would be held fully accountable under the law.
“These acts are hateful and have no place in Australia’s tolerant, multicultural society,” Albanese said.
“Australians should respect one another, and the vast majority do, regardless of their faith.”

“We are a multicultural nation that must embrace inclusivity and unity.”
The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies expressed the community’s “outrage” over the attack.
“This is unacceptable and threatens the social harmony and cohesion that Australians have cherished for generations,” said David Ossip, President of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies.

“No Australian should feel unsafe attending their place of worship or walking through their community.
“Laws need to be strengthened to address hate speech and incitement to violence more effectively, and those responsible for such crimes must face penalties severe enough to deter and prevent such behavior from becoming normalized.”
Police are actively investigating the incident.
