South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron was discovered dead at her residence, a police official familiar with the case reported on Sunday.
The 24-year-old actress was once considered one of South Korea’s most promising talents, but her career suffered a setback following a drunk driving incident in 2022.
The police official stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of death but did not disclose any additional details.
According to Yonhap News Agency, a friend who planned to meet Kim visited her home, found her unresponsive, and immediately contacted the police.
