VICTORIA PUBLIC SECTOR JOB CUTS UP TO 3,000 POSITIONS AT RISK IN WORKFORCE REVIEW

Thousands of public sector jobs are at risk as the Victorian government initiates a workforce review.

Premier Jacinta Allan and Treasurer Jaclyn Symes announced today that Helen Silver will lead the review, with findings expected by June 30.

Approximately six percent of the workforce may face job losses in the coming months.

The review will zero in on waste and inefficiency, with up to 3000 jobs expected to be cut, Symes confirmed.
